Sullivan Middle School

The SMS Cross Country team competed in a meet in Charleston this evening. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams ran strong races and earned impressive second-place finishes with many setting new season PRs. Leading the way for the girls were top finishers Avery Hess, Aubrey Fultz, Kylan Hall, Harper Standerfer, and Reese Hall. On the boys’ side, top five finishers were Khiry Campbell, Aydan Rubush, Gideon Walk, Griffin Woods, and Oliver Florey. Great job to all the runners for representing SMS with grit and determination! #OneTribe

Schedule Change (9/13): JH XC Invite @ General Dacey Trail in Shelbyville on Saturday - the start time has been bumped up. Girls will now race at 9:40, Boys will race at 10:10, and the JH Open Race will begin at 10:40 AM. #OneTribe

SMS Softball is triumphant over Tri-County this morning securing an undefeated conference record and conference championship! This is the first conference championship in school history! Congratulations ladies! #OneTribe

SMS Baseball received the #3 seed in their Regional Tournament! They will be hosting Cerro Gordo/Bement next Thursday, September 11th starting at 4:30 PM. Game will be played at Wyman Park - Lane Field. Go Redskins! #OneTribe

SMS Softball received the #1 seed in their Regional Tournament! They will have a "bye" in the first round and will play their semi final matchup against the winner of ALAH and Meridian. Sullivan will play next Wednesday, September 10th @ Meridian HS starting at 4:30 PM. Go Lady Redskins! #OneTribe

The SMS XC teams competed in a tough meet Tuesday evening in Shelbyville, facing off against Mt. Zion, Shelbyville, Teutopolis, Sangamon Valley, and Cowden Herrick. The girls team had a strong showing, finishing 3rd overall with 65 points. Leading the way were top five finishers Avery Hess, Aubrey Fultz, Kylan Hall, Harley Alms, and Hope Conner. The boys team battled hard and earned a 4th place finish with 116 points. Top five finishers were Khiry Campbell, Bryce Badman, Griffin Woods, Aydan Rubush, and Gideon Walk. The teams will be back in action next Tuesday in Charleston! Go Redskins! #OneTribe

SMS Baseball split their Varsity/Junior Varsity doubleheader with Neoga on Saturday (8/30) Nolan McCann pitched 4 solid innings in relief to keep the game within reach but the offense just could get the key hits when we needed them. Sawyer Wade, Bryce Badman, Braxton Gilbert and Kellan Mossman all collected two hits apiece on the day! On Monday evening (9/1) defeated conference opponent Villa Grove 15-3. Jackson Williamson had three hits and Hunter Walton had two hits to lead the offensive attack. Kayden Randol pitched two innings and struck out 4 batters. Their next game (9/4) against Arthur will decide conference champions - Sullivan (5-0 Conference) vs Arthur (4-0-1 Conference). Go Redskins! ⚾️ #OneTribe
