Of the 732 STAR or State Proficiency Competitors in 39 events from all around the state, SHS brought home 4 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal, and 1 Bronze medal! Congrats to Abagail Dean for a bronze in Public Policy Advocate, Isaac Reider for a Silver in Public Speaking:Creed, Will Miller, Rhesa Isaacs, Piper Conlin for a Gold in Entrepreneurship: Food Truck, and Olivia Cordes for a Gold in Charcuterie! Olivia finished in the top 10, as the only downstate competitor with that recognition, in a heavily contested culinary event that featured a homemade charcuterie board that was allergen friendly!
Keagan Betts, Section 7 Vice President of Community Service, and Abagail Dean, Section 7 President, also represented SHS together as they strive to grow their legacies beyond our chapter level! We are so proud of all of our SHS FCCLA members that continue to make an impact through their own leadership journeys!
