For anyone headed to Pana on Saturday for the Varsity volleyball tournament, here is the full schedule!

Last week's Band Section of the Week Honors went to the 7th and 8th Grade students who auditioned for ILMEA All-District Band and the 6th Grade Percussion Section.
While the 7th and 8th Grade students are not technically a section, they put a tremendous amount of work into learning etudes and scales for their auditions. These auditions are currently being evaluated by judges and the top scores on each instrument are then selected to participate in the District 5 ILMEA All-District Band. Results will be announced in the coming weeks.
The 6th Grade Percussion Section has a unique challenge in their beginning band process in that they start on two instruments (snare drum and bells). They then branch out to a variety of pitched and non-pitched instruments as they progress in their work. This group has not only been learning pitches with the winds in the band, they are also learning fundamental rudiments and rhythms for snare drum!
