Schedule Change: HS Girls Basketball has added a game on 1/8 at home vs Marshall - Modified JV & Varsity starting at 6:00 pm
SHS sports families, several IHSA proposals were recently approve that will significantly impact scheduling starting in 2026:
1 - Expanded IHSA Playoffs - The IHSA has expanded the football playoffs by 16 schools in each class. As a result, Week 0 (scrimmage week) will now be Week 1
2 - Change to IHSA Dead Week - The IHSA official Dead Week is now June 29-July 5, aligning with the 4th of July holiday. This was previously in August, which will now be the first week of football.
We understand that there is a lot of coordination for many families planning family vacations over the summer. We will share out more detailed schedules as they are set, but hopefully this allows everyone to plan ahead when scheduling their commitments.
