Softball season is upon us! Our reloaded softball team is poised for a great run this year! Your first chance to see the girls in action is this Friday (weather pending) for a scrimmage! Come on out!

Huge thank you to Dr. Ethan Turner from Phoenix Physical Therapy here in Sullivan for coming in to speak to our Human Anatomy and Physiology classes today! The kids were able to learn a lot about the education required to become a physical therapist and what daily life at the PT clinic is like, as well as ask a lot of questions about injuries, treatments, and the rewards and challenges of being in the profession. Thank you again Dr. Turner!

The LPC Basketball All-Conference Teams have been announced! SHS was well-represented this year, congrats to all!

❓Did you know❓that the National Honor Society is the proud sponsor of the SHS Breakfast of Champions? Throughout the four quarters, all NHS members sign up for duties to make the ceremony possible. Each quarter, we have members in charge of getting the letters signed and sent home, the room decorated for the ceremony, leading the ceremony, serving the food, cleaning up, and even taking inventory of paper goods so we can be prepared for the next ceremony. Pictured is Zaden Hussong, Johnny Iacobazzi, Kolton Wiley, and James Feldkamp; however, let's give a big shout out to ALL of our NHS members who help make this event possible each quarter!

Congratulations to our newest collegiate athlete, Schafer Ogle signed his letter of intent today to continue his baseball career at Millikin University next year!

A small group of our Redskin Football athletes competed at the Maroa-Forsyth Trojan Powerlifting Meet today. The lifters competed in Bench, Squat, and Power Clean. Every single one of our athletes earned at least two Personal Record lifts today, with 21 out of our 24 lifts from our guys being PR's! This is a big testament to the work these guys have been putting in this offseason! The following athletes earned medals in their weight classes, and Aiden Dinger also made our school all-time record board with a Squat of 470 pounds as a sophomore! Spring sports officially begin this week!

A huge congratulations to our newest collegiate athletes! DeMarkus Moore, Cooper Christensen, and Lucas Floyd are signed on to continue their football careers at Millikin next fall!

Mrs. Kirby had Ms. Lawson come in with the Moultrie County History Center's Great Depression & WWII tubs with artifacts from the time period. Students were able to see and touch the items from the time period and get more of a feel for what the culture was like in Moultrie County in the 1930s and 1940s.

Due to a scheduling conflict - the HS Spring Sports Parent Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 6th at 6:00 pm in the Commons
