Recess and SNOW...playing in the snow at recess can be a favorite for lots of our students at SES. This is a reminder that students can only play in the snow if they have the proper attire (snow pants, snow boots, winter coat and gloves). Students will have outside recess as long as the "feels like" temps are above 15 degrees.

Schedule Change (1/16): The 5/6 Volleyball game tonight has now been canceled due to transportation issues with Decatur Catholic. Reschedule date TBD. Team will now practice in the SES Gym. 5th Grade 3:30-5:00. 6th Grade 4:30-6:00.

Good luck to our 5/6 Lady Redskins Volleyball team who begins their season this evening (1/8) starting at 6:30 PM @ Cerro Gordo JH! Check out their schedule and come out and support the 5/6 Lady Redskins Volleyball team!

5th and 6th Grade Cheer had a blast at their end of season banquet last night! They will cheer on the 5/6 Boys Basketball team in their final home game of the season tomorrow night (12/21) vs ALAH in the ES gym starting at 6 PM! Good luck to all and have fun!

Preschool is enjoying all our guest reader this year! Today we heard stories from Mrs. Graham and Ms. Cater.

Mrs. McCain and Ms. Basham's classes got to learn about space this week with Mr. Gabe and in their classrooms! Thank you Gabe, the 3rd graders had so much fun and learned so much.

Miss Basham's class had some turkey donuts this morning! 🧡🦃🍩

Mr. Wagner's Elementary PE classes had the opportunity the past two days to play with a new system that was provided to us via the school district. The LU Interactive Playground is an awesome resource and a different way of doing physical education. It is an interactive experience where students are engaged physically, intellectually, and socially-emotionally. They got to play interactive workout competitions as well as throwing activities similar to the popular arcade game "Asteroids" This is a unique way to get kids up and moving and we look forward to using it for years to come!

The students of SES would like to invite the community to our annual Veterans' Day Program. The program is Friday, November 10th at 8:30 a.m. in the high school gym. If you have a Veteran in your family or a Veteran who will be attending, please make sure to fill out a card of recognition upon arrival on Friday.
