Welcome our newest MIND club member!

Thanks to our local McDonald's, our entire SES was able to participate in McStudent Day. Students enjoyed a burger and a cookie! Several won some great prizes!

THANK YOU to Officer Chippy, Officer Houk, Mr. Houk (Round 2 Retrievers) and Dr. Florey (Kaskaskia Valley Animal Hospital) for speaking about tasks and trainings for K-9 dogs, the keen senses of dogs, the K-9 demonstration, and how to be safe around dogs you do not know.

Miss Basham's class spent some of their day at the local parks cleaning them up, making posters to put around the school and learning about ways to save the earth! 🌍🌳 They filled up 5 whole trashbags!

SES yearbooks are in ! There are more for sale if you didn't get a chance to order yet !

SES Parents...the west side parking lot, north entrance will be closed beginning Thursday evening and will not reopen until Monday. If you use the west parking lot for drop off in the mornings or afterschool pickup, you will have to ENTER AND EXIT through the south entrance. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please use extra caution when coming out of the west parking lot as the south opening is not a typical exit.

SES is proud of Amelia Melvin and Hazel Crothers. The students enjoyed seeing their fellow classmates in the show today. Great job ladies!

The 3rd grade team went to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum today in Springfield, IL! They learned so much and had a wonderful time. Here are some pictures from Mrs. McCain and Miss Basham's classes! Thank you to ALL of our wonderful chaperones and volunteers!

JUST A REMINDER...If you have a child who will be 5 on or before September 1, 2024, then please come to Kindergarten Orientation on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the elementary school gym. There will be a presentation of information and an optional tour of the Kindergarten classrooms. Please contact the SES office at 217-728-2321 if you have specific questions.

Sullivan Youth Sports would like to thank everyone who participated in the Future Redskins basketball program. We had 172 kids sign up to play! That is AMAZING!! A special thank you to our High School basketball coaches, Coach Toler and Coach McCain, for volunteering their time to help. Thank you to all of the high school basketball players that also showed up on Saturday mornings to assist the program. We are also grateful for Coach Becker and Coach Campbell, representing middle school sports, for dedicating their time. This would not have been possible without great parent volunteers as well. Thank you to Coach Wickline, Coach VanDeursen, Coach Atchison, Coach Foster, Coach Rubush, Coach Huber, Coach Richter, Coach Florey and Coach Sanner. Students at SES will be coming home with Spring picture order forms. Spring picture day is April 16th, and parents must pre-order online in order for their child to get a picture taken that day. Please call the SES office with any questions.

Miss Basham's class had such a fun trip to the Reedy farm today! It was chilly, but they learned so much about agriculture, animals, labels and ATV safety! Thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers that made today so special! 🐖🐮🚜
