SES Parents...as the outside temperature turns colder, I wanted to remind parents to make sure students are wearing winter jackets, gloves and hats to school each day. The students are still being taken outside for recess and PE (if the temperature remains appropriate to do so). We want to continue to give students the opportunity to run around outside and get a mask break. If your child does not have winter apparel, please reach out to the school for support.

Painted pumpkins
Mrs.Hendry’s 4th grade carved into their pumpkins to count the seeds. They tried counting by 1’s, then found 5s, 10s, 50s, and evening 100s could help them count more accurately. 578 seeds was the winning pumpkin.

SES families, we have been introducing our students to the ZONES OF REGULATION. This is a social-emotional learning curriculum, used to teach children self-regulation and emotional control. It’s working great and we’d like to share it with you at home! Basically, there are four colors to represent the zones: BLUE (sad, tired, hurt), RED (angry, out of control), YELLOW (frustrated, hungry, silly), and GREEN (happy, calm, ready to learn). Please join us in teaching these zones at home. Any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Graham at SES.
