
Some updated scheduling changes:
1. The IHSA has cancelled Scholastic Bowl Sectionals scheduled for this Saturday March 14th along with their other remaining winter sports tournaments. These will not be rescheduled by the IHSA.
2. Charleston High School has decided to cancel their Indoor Track Invites on Saturday 3/14 and Saturday 3/21. Because of this, our girls and boys track teams will not be attending.
3. Heritage High School has decided to cancel our JV and Varsity Baseball games scheduled on 3/25 so we will not be playing on that date.
Additional scheduling updates will be provided as they possibly occur.

SES students be bringing home Art to Remember order forms this week. Orders and payment will be due on Tuesday, March 24th. Please return to your student's teacher or the SES office.

Just a reminder on some upcoming sports banquets: The SHS Girls Basketball Banquet will be held on Monday March 9th at 6:30 PM at the VFW Hall in Sullivan. The SHS Boys Basketball, SHS Winter Cheer, and SHS Dance Team Banquet will be held on Wednesday March 18th at 6:30 PM at the VFW Hall in Sullivan.

Students in 3rd and 4th grade were challenged to read 5 of the 20 books nominated for the Illinois Bluestem Award. An outstanding 48 students achieved or exceeded that goal and were invited to a voting party. Third grader, Emma Drake, read all 20 nominated titles!


Eight of Sullivan Elementary School's third graders had the opportunity to attend an Illinois Music Education Association music festival on Wednesday at EIU. SES's very own Mrs. Leach organized and led the event for students from all over the area! Our students had a blast learning how to drum, creatively move, and play the mallets.





Attention all families of incoming kindergarten students! Sullivan Elementary School's kindergarten orientation will be held on Tuesday, April 14th at 6:00PM. Come and join us to learn more about what to expect next school year, and what all to begin preparing for.
Some things to consider and plan for include:
1-All students will need an up-to-date school physical with vaccinations prior to starting school.
2-All students will need an eye exam prior to October 15th, 2020.
3-All students will need a dental exam by May 15th, 2021.

Due to the tremendous response for K-3 Future Redskins Basketball Program, we will be splitting the first two sessions. Grades K and 1 will meet from 8-9 tomorrow and grades 2 and 3 will meet from 9-10. Due to the Singers Invitational, parents should park on the west side of SES. These times will be the same for Saturday, March 7th.
