SHS Athletic Scheduling Updates for tonight 8/30:
1. The SHS Girls Golf match scheduled at Eagle Creek against Shelbyville has been cancelled.
2. The SHS cross country meet at Forest Park in Shelbyville will now begin at 4:45 PM this afternoon.
Due to the weather, the SHS Cross Country meet scheduled for today 8/26 in Sullivan has been cancelled.
Due to weather, the SMS softball game at Unity and the SMS Baseball game at home vs. Argenta Oreana for today 8/26 have been postponed. Makeup date is TBD.
SHS Scheduling Updates For Tonight 8/26:
1. Due to the heat, the SHS Cross Country meet will start at 5:30 PM this evening at Tabor Park.
2. The SHS Golf match this evening at Moweaqua Golf Course at 4:00 PM is a varsity boys golf match only. There will not be a JV boys or Girls Golf match played this evening.
Kudos to our Sullivan FFA Chapter Officer team who took time from their weekend to set up a barnyard petting zoo at the Moultrie & Coles County Relay for Life!
Our FFA members were so excited for the opportunity this year, and look forward to building upon the experience in the future.

This is a reminder to Kindergarten parents...please make sure to turn in a physical and vaccination record for your child to the SES School Nurse by the end of the day Friday, August 20, 2021. If you have an appointment scheduled with you doctor, please provide documentation of the appointment date. These documents have to be on file for your child to attend Kindergarten. We do not want your child to miss a day of their educational experience, so let's work together!
SHS and SMS Fall Sports Preview Night is tomorrow August 20th. It will begin at 5:00 PM with a scrimmage of our SOV Football team. Once that concludes around 5:45 PM, we will begin introducing team members of the following sports/activities: SOV Football, SOV Football Cheer, SHS Marching Band and Color Guard, SHS Cross Country, SHS Boys and Girls Golf, SOV Girls Swimming, SMS Baseball, SMS Softball, SMS Cross Country. Preview Night will then conclude with the SHS Volleyball team being introduced and practicing in the high school gym. When indoors for the SHS Volleyball team introductions and practice, masks will be required for all spectators per the Governor's mask mandate.
Parents of 3rd and 4th grade students at SES: Your child will be coming home today with a note regarding swimming during PE classes. Please pay special attention to the schedules, as some classes swim beginning August 19th and some classes do not begin swimming until September 23rd. Also included in the note going home today is what your child will need to bring with them to school each day during their swimming dates. Please contact Coach Typer, your child's classroom teacher, or the SES Office if you have any questions.
A reminder to Kindergarten parents…Tuesday will be the first day of Kindergarten. Parents need to make sure a physical and vaccination record is on file with the school prior to your Kindergarteners first day. If you have an appointment scheduled please contact Mrs. Moore, the school nurse. Students without these items on file at the end of the day Friday, August 20, 2021, will be excluded from school until the records are received.
Sullivan FFA members have had an active summer with State FFA Convention, Section Fairs, Chapter Officer Retreat and of course working in their individual Supervised Agricultural Experiences.
Our Chapter FFA Officers are eager to begin the school year and welcome all our new middle and high school students to the agriculture program. It's sure to be another exciting and busy year in Sullivan FFA!

Just a reminder to SES parents and students in First - Fourth grade, a Parent Night will be held at SES from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. this evening. Parent Night will have an Open House feel. Parents and students will gather in the lobby where doors will then be opened to classrooms. Students are to bring their school supplies to drop off and meet their classroom teacher prior to the first day of school on Monday, August 16th. Per the Governor mandate, masks must be worn inside school buildings. The SMS Softball games scheduled for today 8/9 at Warrensburg-Latham Middle School have been cancelled due to the weather.
The SHS Fall Sports Player-Parent meeting scheduled for Monday August 9th for interested participants in high school football, football cheer, golf, volleyball, cross country, and girls swimming has been cancelled. Information that would have been distributed at this meeting has been provided to the coaches in these respective sports to give to their participants on the first day of practice. Please be sure to ask your child for this so that you are aware of our various sports policies and requirements that will need to be met.
Also, just a reminder that prior to the beginning of your sport's practices next week, an individual must have a current sports physical on file with the high school office in order to be able to participate.

Paraprofessionals for the Sullivan School District for the 2021-2022 school year.
Must have 60 hours college credit in any area or a Work Keys certificate to be a certified paraprofessional in the state of Illinois.
Applications can be completed online on the Sullivan Schools website or picked up at the Unit Office and should be returned to Jessica Reeder at Sullivan Middle School or by email reederj@sullivan.k12.il.us. Please do not apply through Facebook.
Deadline to apply is July 30, 2021. Start date will be the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.
