Congratulations to Moultrie County Spelling Bee Champion Mary Crist and Runner-Up Brynner Johnson (1st Alternate) for advancing to the next round of the Scripps Spelling Bee.
The SHS Spring Sports Player-Parent meeting for baseball, softball, and track will be on Monday February 28th at 6:00 PM in the SHS gym.
Good luck to Ethan Schmohe as he competes on Friday 2/25 at the IHSA State Swimming Meet in Westmont, Illinois in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Yard Backstroke events. The state meet will also be live-streamed on the NFHS network.
Due to the weather today and additional events on Saturday, the Future Redskins championship game between the Nets and the Warriors has been rescheduled to Tuesday March 1st from 6:00 to 6:45 PM in the SHS gym. Teams should arrive 15 minutes prior to game time.
Due to the early dismissal of school today, the first grade field trip and all afternoon Early Childhood and Project Help classes are cancelled.
Due to forecasted inclement weather, Sullivan Schools will have an early dismissal today, Thursday, February 24th. SES will dismiss at 12:20 and SMS/SHS will dismiss at 12:30. All after school activities are cancelled.

Congratulations to the SOV Boys Swimming team on finishing in 6th place out of 21 teams in the IHSA Boys Swimming Sectional yesterday with 59 total points! This is a tremendous accomplishment considering SOV only had 3 individuals compete! Ethan Schmohe qualified for two events next week at the IHSA State Swimming meet finishing in 2nd place in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Backstroke. Other notable results included Matthew Wesselman taking 3rd place in the 500 Yard Freestyle and Isaac Chambers taking 7th place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. #onetribe!

In addition, spectators must wear a mask but no longer need to provide proof of vaccination nor a negative COVID test upon entry.
The SHS JV and Varsity Boys Basketball games scheduled for tonight 2/18 vs. Tuscola as a part of Senior Night are ON as scheduled. The JV game will begin at 6:00 PM. At halftime of the JV game, the Bucks and Bulls Future Redskins teams will scrimmage. In between the JV and Varsity contest, Senior Night introductions of Boys Basketball players and Basketball Cheerleaders will occur. Those individuals and their parents/guardians need to be at the high school no later than 6:30 PM this evening.
NHS will also be having their Pork Chop Dinner from 5:00-7:00 PM tonight in the SHS Commons for $10.00. Dine-in and carry-out options are available!

Depending on the timing of the weather, there is a chance that school may need to be dismissed early. If that is the case, a decision will be made around 10:30am, and SES will dismiss at 12:20pm and SMS/SHS will dismiss at 12:30pm. Again, as of this moment, there are no changes to the school day.
There is the possibility of inclement weather tomorrow. At this time, Sullivan Schools will be in session. If conditions are poor in the morning, a decision on whether school will be in session will be made around 5:45am. Depending on the timing of the weather, there is a chance that school may need to be dismissed early. If that is the case, a decision will be made around 11am tomorrow, and SES will dismiss at 12:20pm and SMS/SHS will dismiss at 12:30pm.
Again, as of this moment, there are NO CHANGES to the school day tomorrow, but we wanted parents to be aware of the possibility of school cancellation or early dismissal for planning purposes.
