6th Grade 100th Day of School Lab


Starting tomorrow, Sullivan Elementary students can vote for who they want to win the Super Bowl by bringing in items to donate to our local food pantry! Each item gives a point to either the New England Patriots or the Philadelphia Eagles! These 5th graders have their posters ready and they are excited to start counting points! The drive runs until Friday, February 2nd!


Congratulations to Singers Jr for taking First Runner Up at the Mt Zion Show Choir competition last night. Great work by Mr. Wilson and Mr. Schaefers. The kids and the combo sounded amazing! Great things a ahead for this season!

Sullivan Middle School will begin MAP testing tomorrow morning. To help students get off to a great start, we will be serving breakfast to all SMS students, free of charge, during first period. Charges may appear on accounts initially, but they will be manually removed later. Please ensure your student has a fully charged iPad in the morning along with a book to read when they are done testing. We will be testing every day this week.

Sullivan Singers and Singers Jr. collected quite a haul of food to donate to the Moultrie County Food Bank! Thanks to all who came to watch and helped with our donation. Our community is unbelievable! #onetribe

Monday: Festive Fuzzy Footwear--- break out those warm fuzzy socks, holiday slippers (or just plain slippers) as we put our best foot forward and finish the first semester strong!
Tuesday: Festive Holiday Headgear--- break out your favorite stocking cap, reindeer antler headband, or any festive type head attire as we continue to make good choices and set our goals to be successful when we come back in 2018!
Wednesday: Gawdy Griswold- Ugly Sweater---- basically this is holiday head to toe---go big or go home--- but not until 1:30!

6th Grade Inertia Challenge


6th Graders were busy testing the density of irregular objects in the science lab today.

Sullivan Middle School would like to thank the members of the Sullivan Fire Department who came to assist in freeing our flag, which had become snagged in the high winds this week. We are #OneTribe.


Sullivan Middle School students interested in the formation of an Interact Club, a service organization affiliated with the Rotary Club, helped members of the Sullivan Chamber of Commerce light up trees around the courthouse on the square. We are #OneTribe

The five finalists from the VFW Patriot's Pen contest were recognized Tuesday afternoon by Social Science teacher Tara Standerfer and VFW Quartermaster Jolene Wright. Congratulations Raimi Gardner, Carly Fitzgerald, Caprice Smith, and Aaron Stutzman. Clayton Schmohe was awarded first place, and his essay was read for the student body.

8th Grade Students Are Great Readers Everyday!


7th grade math students were using old IGA grocery store ads to calculate unit rates. They really enjoyed having a practical application for the skills they were learning.
