Congratulations to Trey M., Maverick P., Lara H., Ryan L., and Beau F. on their fantastic performance as part of the Frances Watts Johnston JH Honors Music Festival this past Friday! The students worked with Mr. Gunn from Taylorville HS, and performed with 55 other MS musicians.
Sullivan Middle School students who had perfect attendance, made honor roll and had no discipline referrals for the school year were treated to a Six Flags trip today to celebrate their accomplishment. SMS students who met the criteria are Paul Bates, Hannah Creek, Mae Dawkins, Kharli Kelly, Emily Miller, Addison Stollard, Mayci Strauf, Allison Rosine (not pictured), Tristan Ruppert, Kylie Voyles, Brycen Wildman, and Tristan Wright. Thank you to the Lee Robinson grant for making this trip possible.
7th grade STEM students met with Herb Bricker at the creek in Tabor Park to discuss the erosion issues and then helped to clean up the brush as part of the project.

Congratulations to the Sullivan 7th & 8th grade concert band on earning a Division I rating at the IESA Music Organizational this past Saturday! This is the first Division I the ensemble has been awarded since 2015.
Rogers and Garrett’s 7th Grade classes finished their “Up” Project. Learning about buoyant forces, they built LEGO houses and calculated how many balloons to attach to lift them.

5th Grade STEM students are recycling and building solar cars this week.
The Spring Band Concert is being held on Thursday, April 25th at 6pm in the SHS Gym, featuring our concert bands from 5th-12th grade. It will be live streamed as well! Hope to see you there for our final concert of the year!

The SMS 8th grade girls track team placed first out of 14 teams at the Arthur Invite on Saturday. Event winners include Cassidy Short- 8th grade long jump, and the 8th grade 4X100 relay team of Booker, Moore, Hay, and Short. Congratulations to all of the 8th grade girls- Go Redskins!
