This Thursday, June 13th we are moving the SMS XC Fun Run to 7-8am due to the anticipated heat forecast. This will be determined weekly moving forward.
JH XC started their Fun Runs for this summer! They run Tuesday's from 7-8 AM and Thursday's from 3-4 PM @ Tabor Park.

Thanks to a field trip grant awarded to the district by the Lincoln Presidential Foundation, our 8th grade class was able to visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield last Thursday! Students were able to tour the museum's exhibits, view their state-of-the-art theater productions, and enjoy lunch together in the Lincoln Cafe. SMS is grateful for the opportunity to provide a meaningful culminating experience for our 8th grade students! #onetribe
A great weekend for SMS Track at the IESA Class 3A State Meet!
Here are some highlights:
-Sullivan sent 24 total athletes to the State meet (largest number in quite some time)
-Every qualifier medaled in at least one event this weekend
-6 SMS school records broken
-7th Grade Girls finished 7th overall in team standings
-8th Grade Girls finished 14th overall in team standings
-7th Grade Boys team finished 28th overall in team standings
-8th Grade Boys team finished 31st overall in team standings

7th Grade 4x400m relay team of Karson Ragsdale, Easton Wickline, Asher Hendry, and Payton Schum - alternate Bryson Hill place 3rd overall and have broken their own record once again with a time of 4:02.44! Way to go fellas! #OneTribe
The 8th grade girls 4x100m record that was broken today by Natalie Stinson, Karson Robinson, Piper Conlin, and Avery Renfro (53.20) was a 26 year old record held by A. Murray, N. Fowler, E. Walker, and J. Florey with a time of 53.4!
Day 2 of the Class 3A IESA State Track Meet is off and running! 8th Grade 4x200 Relay Team placed 4th overall and broke their own school record once again this year with a time of 1:40.21! Runners today were Collin Shain, Taevyn Dixon, Nixon Dundee, and Colt Wilson…Alternates Aceon Fryman and Brynner Johnson (both boys ran and filled in throughout the year)! Go Redskins! #OneTribe
7th Grade 4x100m relay team placed 8th overall with a time of 54.83! Runners today were Tenley Campbell, Elin Watkins, Wren Wall, and Emma Drake…alternate Addie Patterson who also ran with the team throughout the year! #OneTribe
