There has been no year like this before. We can’t wait for you to see how we’re documenting this year.
Sullivan High School's Child and Daycare Services class is learning about early childhood and how to teach at an early childhood level. An important aspect of this is learning how to communicate effectively to parents. This year, things (obviously) look quite different, so I thought it might be fun to see if any members of the community who have young children would be interested in receiving this newsletter. The newsletter will contain a few local activities for younger children (including the cost, if any, location, and a brief description) and a fun activity that could be done at home. There will be 8 newsletters in total starting on October 19. If you would be interested in receiving this newsletter from our students, please let me know and I will add you to the list! I am so excited to see these students come together to create something great.
Additionally, the students will be videoing some of their lessons that they are creating. We will have these available as well if you are interested in receiving those.

The SHS Student Council executive board did their annual officer bonding by completing the escape room at Krave in Mt. Zion. They successfully worked together to escape and then enjoyed frozen yogurt.

The IHSA released their Return to Activity Plan today. The start dates and lengths of season for each of our sports this school year are as follows:
August 10th 2020 through October 24th 2020: Boys and Girls Golf, Boys and Girls Cross Country, and Girls Swimming and Diving.
November 16th 2020-February 13th 2021: Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys Swimming and Diving, Basketball Cheer, and Dance.
February 15th 2021-May 1st 2021: Football, Football Cheer, and Girls Volleyball.
May 3rd 2021-June 26th 2021: Baseball, Softball, Boys and Girls Track and Field
More information on sports schedules will be released later as they are finalized.

The Sullivan Show Choirs are hosting a live audition for anyone interested in joining one of our award-winning show choirs! This will be on Wednesday, June 24th at 1 PM. Students will meet in the Commons, 6 feet apart, and we will go until we get done. Students need to prepare 1 minute of a song of their choice, and they will be expected to learn and perform the choreography from the attached youtube videos.
