Senior Day for SHS Cross Country is on Tuesday October 5th at Tabor Park at 4:30 PM. Coach Graham will begin recognizing the senior cross country members and their parents/guardians at 4:15 PM at the pavilion over in Tabor Park prior to the meet beginning at 4:30 PM.
Sullivan High School is planning their 2021 Homecoming for the week of October 4th thru 8th. The Queen Candidates are Jesse Kirk, Alyssa Thompson, Morgan Wallace, and Alyssa Shriver (not pictured). King Candidates are Camden Dwyer, JJ Standerfer, Ben Bushue, and John Voyles.
Court members are Freshman Addison Minor and Mason Booker, Sophomores Tessa Seeley and Kyle Corkill, and Juniors Alaina Moore and Lane Richardson.
Coronation will take place on Friday, October 8th at halftime of the football game.


SHS Boys golf placed 2nd at the IHSA regional today at Mowequa. We shot 314 as a team which has been the best round for Sullivan that we have on record. Del Diepholz led the team with a 71! We play in the 1A Sectional on Monday 10/4.

Saturday, October 2nd the Band Booster Association will be hosting a cook-out at IGA from 10:30-1:30. They will have hot dogs, burgers, pork sandwiches, and ribeyes for sale to support the Sullivan Band Program!
In honor of SHS alum Nick Carroll, Sullivan High School is seeking donations of dress ties. Please drop off any ties you'd like to donate to the high school office by Thursday afternoon so we can honor Nick in a special way. Already tied is even better!

SCHEDULE UPDATE:
SOV JV Football will be hosting Watseka High School in a JV Football game on Friday 10/8 at 7:00 PM at Victory Field as a part of Sullivan's Homecoming. In addition to this, Senior Night for SOV Football, SOV Football Cheer, and SHS Marching Band/Color Guard will also be held on Friday 10/8 prior to the start of the football game. Additional details for this will be shared out as we get closer to the date.
Ms. Hansen’s Culinary Arts 1 class took the ServSafe Food Handler’s exam last week. Today, they received their certificates for passing! This certificate shows that the students have learned about and were tested on food safety and sanitation at a national level. We are so proud of these students!

The 2021-22 SHS Retrospect yearbook staff announces their first photo submission opportunity. The theme is “We all FALL down” so we’d like you to take pictures of playing in the leaves, slurping an apple cider slushie, pulling a cart of pumpkins and gourds, all while dressed in the best fall fashion… jeans, hoodies, sweaters, flannels! Ms. Whalen’s Films Analysis class has been having a blast shooting and editing their own short films for their first project of the semester! Students are incorporating different angles and framing techniques commonly used in films. We love to see their creativity shine through!




Our SHS students have attended the Construction Trades Expo at the Coles County airport on Wed 9/15. Great to start thinking about their futures!
