On February 13, the National Honor Society held their annual Pork Chop Dinner. Our members had a great time serving our community. Thanks to those who donated their meals, we were able to donate 38 meals to The Haven in Mattoon. A huge thanks to member Hannah Righter and her mom for making those arrangements. And a huge thank you to our helpers in the kitchen who make nights like this possible. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and who continue to support our students! We look forward to serving you again next year!

Sullivan FCCLA, along with 9 other local chapters, was well represented at the Section 7 Conference in Charleston on Wednesday. Preparing for the Ultimate Journey to State Conference in April, members continue to build skills for life and are living proof of what this amazing organization stands for. Sarina Voegel, Kya Allen, and Abagail Dean earned gold, silver, and bronze medals in their competitive events and will advance onto State. SHS FCCLA is also proud to announce that Abagail Dean has been elected as the new Vice President of Community Service for Section 7! Members in attendance learned about regenerative farming, future career development tips, strategies for self defense, and made cards for Veterans. We are proud of our FCCLA members as they courageously become leaders in the community!
