On Wednesday, August 10th, several SHS Seniors and teachers continued the tradition of painting their spots in the back parking lot. Huge shout out to Mrs. Badman who started and continues to carry on the tradition, and Mrs. Kirby who now helps with its facilitation! Attached are some spots that were tributes to school activities.

This year's SOV Football Lift-a-Thon was a major success! Big thank you to Second Chance Gym for hosting! Our SOV football athletes have made some huge gains in strength since last year! As a team we lifted 6,745 more pounds than last year's Lift-a-Thon, and our pound for pound average amongst our athletes jumped up from 2.64 to 3.23 times their body weight. Aian Fryman had the highest total weight of 805 pounds in bench, squat, and clean combined, and he also had the highest pound per pound ratio of 4.95. Mason Booker had the highest total weight increase of 310 pounds since last year's Lift-a-Thon. If you have not had a chance to help support this year's Lift-a-Thon and our SOV Football athletes but would like to, there is still time! Sullivan Schools are excited to announce that we have received a grant to cover the costs of high school athletic fees for the 2022-2023 school year. As you register your students now or in the coming weeks, you will notice that these fees have been waived. We are excited for the additional opportunities this will afford our students.
