Sullivan High School

Culinary 3 Baking and Pastry Class dedicated an entire week to the quest of perfecting the classic brownie recipe. The students threw themselves into teamwork in the kitchen, passionately tinkering with the ingredients to strike that elusive ideal balance of texture and flavor. We may not have cracked the code just yet, but what a deliciously promising beginning on this cold winter’s day.

In an attempt to avoid the winter weather, the LPC Boys Basketball Tournament tomorrow has been pushed up by an hour. So Varsity Boys Basketball will play at DeLand Weldon at 11:30 am

SHS Mirror Images is a preventative theatre company that has been writing, directing, and acting in their own play since 1989!

This year, they present "Anonymous" - free to the public next Friday, January 30th at 6:00 pm at the Little Theatre on the Square! Come join us!

The SHS Basketball Cheerleaders want to thank the Traditional Sullivan Bakery and Elizabeth Houser and Country Financial for sponsoring the kiddie camp dinner. 85 campers and 15 cheerleaders enjoyed the food provided!!!

From Play-Dough to potatoes, our Culinary 1 students have been working to perfect their knife skills. As we gear up for a semester packed with hands-on lessons and thrilling labs, these budding chefs are giving it their all, determined to sharpen their skills and ignite their love for cooking. Their dedication and drive are truly inspiring—ready to transform raw ingredients into masterpieces!

The LPC Boys Basketball Bracket has been unveiled - Sullivan receives the #3 seed!

Our boys earn a 1st round bye, and will play their first game on Saturday at 12:30 pm at DeLand Weldon High School against the winner of Tri-County & Blue Ridge!

Track season is right around the corner and there is a lot to get excited for! SHS's Riane Bear and Johnathan Iacobazzi are both ranked #1 in the state in their respective events going into the season!

SHS Boys Basketball takes on Arcola at home tonight! Pack the place!

Just a reminder that the walking track is open to community members in the morning on select dates. Walkers may enter through the Unit Office doors, and the track is located on the second floor of the high school gym.

SHS Girls Basketball starts their march through the LPC tournament tonight at home!

SHS Athletics this week!

It was a great morning of basketball at the 7th Grade Regional Tournament in Sullivan. The Sullivan 7th Grade Basketball team was victorious and advances in the tournament! The boys will take on the Pana Panthers at approximately 7:15 PM in the SMS Gym on Tuesday night (1/20). Updated tournament schedule is attached.

**Please note the rest of the tournament will take place in the SMS Gym.**

Sending a huge shoutout to Jazzercise instructors, Jena Atchison and Jessica Risley, for coming into Coach Taylor's SHS REC PE classes this week to lead a fun, engaging Jazzercise demo! We are so grateful and appreciative of our local leaders and local resources that help promote the creation of healthy lifetime habits for all ages! Thank you for bringing your positive energy and positive spirits into the building to help teach our students about the importance of movement and getting involved in community activities!
