A great meet at Peoria today, Julia Moody finishes 68th out of 252 runners!
Johnathan Iacobazzi becomes a two-time All-State runner, finishing in 15th place!

It's fitting that the two SHS Cross Country record holders are running their final race of the season at the IHSA State Finals today!

- Cross Country - November 18th, 6:00 pm at the Country Club
- Football/Cheer - December 1st, 6:00 pm in the HS/MS Commons - RSVP to Mr. Huber no later than 11/21 - max 4 guests per person

With our move to the new building, not all of our cherished old dishes made the journey; many had seen their better days. I am deeply grateful to Erica Piper and her incredible team at Heritage Woods for their generous gift of six brand new Corelle Dish Sets for each of our kitchens. If the only thing the FCS students carry with them when they leave the classroom is that sharing a meal around a table is a powerful bond—then I know I have truly fulfilled my purpose. To say this semester’s culinary students—and I, as their teacher—were overwhelmed is an understatement. Erica thank you again for your unwavering support, willingness to pour into my students and program. You are forever etched into the stories we will tell around countless future tables.

Johnathan Iacobazzi heads back to the IHSA state meet next weekend and Julia Moody joins him as the first female SHS athlete ever to qualify for the state meet!!

Our Varsity Redskins fall in the playoffs, 20-6 to Cumberland, finishing the season at 7-3.
