🏐 Senior Night Win + 20-Win Milestone! 🏐 Sullivan Volleyball closed out Senior Night with a big win over Okaw Valley — 25–22, 25–14! 🎉 With this victory, the varsity team secured their 20th win of the season — the first 20-win season in 18 years and only the fourth team in program history to reach this incredible milestone. 💪 The JV team also dominated the court, winning 25–20, 25–11 to finish their season strong. This group has worked tirelessly all year — every player, every role, every moment — and it shows. ❤️🖤 Next up: Regionals begin Monday at Paris, where the Lady Redskins take on Paris in Round One! Let’s go, Sullivan! 👏🔥

Thirty two members of SHS FCCLA(Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), along with their advisors, Ms. Voegel and Ms. Taylor, attended the FCCLA Fall Leadership Conference at EIU today. Facilitating the leadership development was Patty Hendrickson, who has shared her interactive message with more than one million people since 1987 and also trains Fortune 500 teams. Patty encouraged the young leaders to become comfortable with being uncomfortable, seek connections before content, and that leadership isn't just about titles. While keeping students engaged for two hours with her hands on leadership activities, they also connected with other chapters to discuss potential service projects and shared collaborative ideas to promote leadership growth within their chapters.

📚 NEHS members took their annual trip to Barnes & Noble to purchase books for middle school and high school English teachers' classroom libraries. Thanks to a grant from NEHS, they were able to get some extra books this year! Students will work diligently during Advisory over the next few weeks to get each book covered and labeled before delivering to respective teachers.

Congratulations to our students who were selected to the ILMEA All-District Junior and Senior Bands! Students named "All-District" represent the top musicians in ILMEA District 5. These students were a part of a highly competitive audition process with students from around the region.

The following students were selected:

Gavin Wade, Alto Saxophone, Senior Band

Everett Finn, Trumpet, Junior Band
Miriam Parri, Trombone, Junior Band
Olivia Swinford, Trumpet, Junior Band
Sarah Windhorst, Flute, Junior Band

The road to ILMEA selection can be rigorous, with challenging scales and etudes that the students must perform for adjudication. While not every student was selected, we are proud of all of our students who worked hard on their auditions this last month. Congrats!
