1st grade was excited to celebrate Ms. Atchison's upcoming wedding by showing students all about bridal showers. We had snacks, wrote advice and played games. One great game was the students creating wedding dresses out of TP!
Due to the outstanding number of students who signed up for Future Redskins Basketball, we will be altering our practice schedule. Please see times below.

Time Change (2/22): Tomorrow night's 5/6 Volleyball games at Atwood-Hammond Grade School will now start at 6:30 PM.
Schedule Update (2/27): The 5/6 Volleyball game originally scheduled to be played on Monday, February 26th @ Tuscola East Prairie has been moved to Tuesday, February 27th. Start time 6 PM @ Tuscola East Prairie MS. This is due to Tuscola also hosting the 7th grade Regional and being unable to accommodate the space for a 5/6 game on the original date.
Shout out to our 5th grade volleyball team who competed in the ALAH Youth Volleyball Classic this weekend! They brought home a second place trophy! They did an outstanding job and had a lot of fun! Way to go girls!
Good luck to our 5th grade volleyball team who plays in the Jr. Knights Volleyball Jamboree at Arthur HS this morning! First match begins at approximately 8:45 in the East Gym (Old Gym).
Concession stand will be available throughout the tournament. Outside food and drinks are prohibited.
*Reminders with tournament play times are approximations. Schools will play ahead if opportunity presents itself so be sure to get there early!*
Don't forget Family Reading Night coming up on Thursday, March 7 for 6:00 - 7:00 at SES. PTO will also have their Silent Auction in the gym.

SES Yearbook forms are coming home today! This book includes students Pre-K through 5th grade !
Mrs. Becker's class finished their solar system books. They wrote about each planet and more!
The JH Sullivan Lady Redskins 7th and 8th grade teams have received the #1 seed for the JHOC Volleyball Conference Tournament! Games this Saturday (2/10) will be played at Oakland High School. 7th Grade will play Arcola starting at 9 AM. 8th Grade will play Arcola following that game at approximately 10:15 AM. Good luck ladies! Go Lady Redskins!
Next weekend is a 4-day weekend for the kids. What better way to kick the weekend off than by having some fun with their friends at Building 1225. Drop them off at 5:30 for pizza, games, music, and fun. Please have forms turned in by no later than next Tuesday.
Schedule Update (2/5): For the 5/6 Volleyball game that was originally to be played at the Villa Grove Community Center on Monday, February 5th location has been changed to Villa Grove Middle School in their new gym. 400 N. Sycamore Street, Villa Grove.

If you have students in grades 1st-5th and would like a few hours to yourself, the Sullivan Lady Redskins would love to entertain them on February 9th at Building 1225. Forms are due on February 2nd. You can pick a form up in the SES office and turn it in this week.
