who received Amtrykes from our local AMBUCS participated in a bike parade on Friday in the elementary school parking lot. Fun was had by all who participated and watched the parade.

Huge thank you to Sue Yarnell and Erica Lehman for guiding our teachers and students throughout the day. FFA students took part in helping as well. What a wonderful opportunity for our littles to touch and learn about plants, food, and helping our community.
Thank you to Sola Gratia out of Champaign for seeds, a couple of amazing families for donating plants, and to our very own Buxton’s Garden for donating a van full of plants and seeds to fill our garden!

SES Track Meet is today and we are excited!! Only students already signed up can participate. Please have your kids here no earlier than 3:45pm. There is no supervision before that time. Children’s Choir performs at 4pm. ALL spectators must wear masks.
We are so grateful for our PTO and our administration for making field trips a reality this year. Aikman’s Wildlife was a treat for our fourth graders who recently have been studying the transfer of Energy between organisms.
First grade students visited Ballard Nature Center this week for their end-of-the-year field trip. They took a nature walk, learned about pond life, and enjoyed time outdoors. This was a great way to celebrate their school year in person.

The Sarah Bush Lincoln Clinic in Sullivan will be offering sports physicals for $20.00 on Wednesday June 23rd from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each $20.00 fee will be donated to the Sullivan Sports Boosters. Cash or check will be the only forms of payment accepted and checks can be made out to Sarah Bush Lincoln. Appointments are required and can be made by contacting SBL Sullivan Clinic at 217-728-8441.

Sullivan NEHS met up with their 4th grade pen pals today for cookies and questions. Over the last semester they emailed letters back and fourth. While fourth graders practiced their friendly letter writing skills NEHS showed true leadership skills by encouraging and model excellent writing practices. Bonus...they all made a new friend!
