Next weekend is a 4-day weekend for the kids. What better way to kick the weekend off than by having some fun with their friends at Building 1225. Drop them off at 5:30 for pizza, games, music, and fun. Please have forms turned in by no later than next Tuesday.
Schedule Update (2/5): For the 5/6 Volleyball game that was originally to be played at the Villa Grove Community Center on Monday, February 5th location has been changed to Villa Grove Middle School in their new gym. 400 N. Sycamore Street, Villa Grove.

If you have students in grades 1st-5th and would like a few hours to yourself, the Sullivan Lady Redskins would love to entertain them on February 9th at Building 1225. Forms are due on February 2nd. You can pick a form up in the SES office and turn it in this week.

-Good luck to our 5/6 Lady Redskins Volleyball team competing in the Windsor-Stew-Stras Tournament this morning. 5th Grade starts at approximately 9:30 AM and 6th Grade will start at approximately 10:30 AM.

Schedule Update: 5/6 Volleyball games that had been canceled vs Decatur Catholic (1/16) and vs ALAH (1/22) have been rescheduled. 5/6 Volleyball will now play ALAH @ Home (SES Gym) on (2/8) and play Decatur Catholic @ Home (SES Gym) on (2/29). Start times are 6 PM.
5th Grade Volleyball team has also added a tournament to their schedule @ Arthur on February 17th. Times TBA.

Recess and SNOW...playing in the snow at recess can be a favorite for lots of our students at SES. This is a reminder that students can only play in the snow if they have the proper attire (snow pants, snow boots, winter coat and gloves). Students will have outside recess as long as the "feels like" temps are above 15 degrees.
Schedule Change (1/16): The 5/6 Volleyball game tonight has now been canceled due to transportation issues with Decatur Catholic. Reschedule date TBD. Team will now practice in the SES Gym. 5th Grade 3:30-5:00. 6th Grade 4:30-6:00.

Mrs. McCain and Ms. Basham's classes got to learn about space this week with Mr. Gabe and in their classrooms! Thank you Gabe, the 3rd graders had so much fun and learned so much.

Mr. Wagner's Elementary PE classes had the opportunity the past two days to play with a new system that was provided to us via the school district. The LU Interactive Playground is an awesome resource and a different way of doing physical education. It is an interactive experience where students are engaged physically, intellectually, and socially-emotionally. They got to play interactive workout competitions as well as throwing activities similar to the popular arcade game "Asteroids" This is a unique way to get kids up and moving and we look forward to using it for years to come!
