This is just a reminder to be stressing the importance of internet safety with your children. If your child has social media accounts, we encourage you to have conversations with them about the nature of their interactions with others online. Make sure they know not to accept friend or follow requests from people they do not know and that they should never share inappropriate images regardless of their relationship with the other party. As much as possible, check on what they are posting and look through their contact list for anyone you don’t know. Our children are growing up with a level of connectivity that seemed impossible only a generation ago, and we all need to work together to ensure they learn to navigate it appropriately.
