Spectators to the varsity girls basketball contest may now enter the gym
Congratulations to the JV Lady Redskins on defeating Central A&M 56-32. We will send out a notification letting spectators know when they can enter for the varsity contest after the gym has been sanitized.
For the SHS JV and Varsity Boys Basketball games tomorrow 2/23 at Warrensburg-Latham, they are allowing each rostered player to have 1 spectator attend. If going, please be sure to show them your JV Boys Basketball ticket or your Varsity boys basketball ticket that you use when attending home games in Sullivan.
SCHEDULEING UPDATE:
The SHS Freshman Boys Basketball game against Clinton on Monday 3/1 will be played at 5:00 PM. In addition, the SHS JV and Varsity Boys Basketball games against Cerro-Gordo will now be played in Sullivan on 3/1. The JV contest will start at 6:15 PM and the Varsity contest will begin at 7:30 PM.

Below is some updated information pertaining to SHS Girls Basketball Senior Night tomorrow 2/22/21:
We received notification today from Central A&M that they are able to play a regular JV contest. Because of this, Senior parents/guardians participating in the Senior Night ceremony should arrive in the front parking lot across from the high school by no later than 7:00 PM. We will then send out a notification after the JV contest concludes allowing entry into the building. Once in the building, parents/guardians participating in the Senior Night ceremony will need to meet Mr. Aikman in the north hallway of the high school. The ceremony will then begin at the conclusion of the 15 minute warmup period prior to the start of the varsity contest.
In the JV contest, Shelbyville defeats Sullivan 48-41 . We will send out a notification to begin admitting spectators into the varsity contest after the gym has been sanitized.
SHS JV and Varsity Boys Basketball hosts Shelbyville High School at 6:00 PM in the SHS gym as a part of senior night. Spectators with a JV Boys Basketball ticket can begin entering at 5:45 PM. Parents/guardians participating in the Senior Night ceremony should arrive in the front parking lot across from the high school by no later than 7:00 PM. We will then send out a notification after the JV contest concludes allowing entry into the building. Once in the building, parents/guardians participating in the Senior Night ceremony will need to meet Mr. Aikman in the north hallway of the high school. The SHS JV and Varsity boys basketball games originally scheduled for 3/9 against Cerro Gordo will now be played on Monday 3/1 in Cerro Gordo starting at 6:00 PM
Due to inclement weather, Sullivan School students will receive instruction tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17, with a Remote and Blended Learning Day. Students will follow the same schedule previously set for these days. Just a reminder that SES will dismiss at 3:05 and SMS/SHS at 3:15 when we return to school on Thursday.
The SHS Scholastic Bowl matches postponed on Monday 2/15 have been rescheduled for Thursday 2/18 at Meridian High School at 5:30 PM. The SHS JV and Varsity Boys Basketball games scheduled tonight against St. Teresa have been rescheduled to Tuesday 3/9 starting at 6:00 PM.

Students will follow the same schedule previously set for these days. All practices for tomorrow are cancelled. The SHS Freshman Boys Basketball game scheduled for tonight against Central A&M has been postponed. Make up date TBD. The SHS Scholastic Bowl contest at Meridian scheduled for tonight has also been postponed. Make up date TBD.
Due to extreme temperatures and inclement weather, there will be no practices tomorrow, Monday, February 15. A decision on athletic contests will be made tomorrow. Additionally, school buildings will be closed tomorrow but instruction will be given via our scheduled Remote and Blended Learning Day. The current forecast for Tuesday is indicating extremely low temperatures and 6-10 inches of snow. An announcement will be made by 5pm tomorrow about whether Tuesday will also be a Remote and Blended Learning Day, but expect this to be the case if the forecast remains similar
