SMS Volleyball was at home tonight against Tuscola! 7th grade lost in two- 24-26 & 22-25. 8th grade won in three- 19-25, 25-22, & 25-15. #onetribe

SMS Volleyball kicked off their season this week! Tonight they are playing Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond in their first home game of the season! 7th grade held on to win the first set 28-26! Join us at SES for the rest of the 7th grade game and the 8th grade game! #onetribe

8th grade boys get a win against Argenta-Oreana at Monticello in the conference tournament. They advance to play in the consolation championship game on Thursday at 5 p.m. #onetribe

Sullivan Middle School hosted ISU’s Center for Math, Science, and Technology tonight in the HUB. Educators from central Illinois (including three teachers from Sullivan) came to be trained on their Smart Grid for Schools program. Teachers simulated power plant and smart house activities. After completing the training, educators can sign up for these kits to be shipped to their schools and used in their classrooms. The programs are k-12. A lot of hands-on learning for everyone! Our 6th grade STEM class was given the following materials to make their best hoop glider: straws, index cards, and tape. Today, each group tested their hoop gliders to see how far they would fly! These ladies finished in 1st and 2nd place with measurements of 9.4 and 9.3 meters! Way to go, girls! #STEMeducation #onetribe

7th grade boys basketball kicked off Conference Tournament play this morning with a win over Central A&M! They are now playing #1 seed, Warrensburg-Latham. The tournament is being played at Argenta this year! Good luck boys! #onetribe

8th grade boys basketball is tied with Clinton, 21-21, at the Okaw Valley Junior High Conference Tournament in Monticello this morning! Good luck boys!! Let’s bring home a W! #onetribe

Sullivan Middle School held its second quarter Breakfast of Champions on December 19th. Students were honored for demonstrating outstanding character both in and out of the classroom. Congratulations to Gage Simmons, Triniti Preyer, Connor Denton, Tristan Wright, Jennifer Lofland, Logan Brinkman (not pictured), Shaylin Hunter (not pictured), Lola Shonkwiler (not pictured).
