
SMS Debate Club members participated in a team-building activity at their first meeting today. Students were tasked with constructing a free standing tower out of spaghetti noodles, tape, and marshmallows. Things got a little messy, but the finished products were totally worth it! Check them out!

8th graders from Sullivan Middle School volunteered to assist the Sullivan Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development with lighting the square for the upcoming Christmas Season. We are #OneTribe!





The SMS Girls’ Basketball game scheduled for this Saturday, 11/13/21, at home against Pana JHS, has been cancelled.

Mrs. Bushue's Language classes spent the week reading the book “ If You Find A Rock” by Peggy Christian. On Wednesday, students brought in rocks, wrote encouraging messages on them and went and hid them around Wyman Park. We are #OneTribe





SMS held the 1st quarter Breakfast of Champions on Thursday, October 21st. Staff nominated students for their accomplishments in, and out of, the classroom. Students recognized were Riane Bear, Kate Bushue, Brooklyn Davis, Emma Drake, Alex Fultz, Jett Kinder, Daisy Richardson, Melissa Ross, Easton Wickline, Miracle Wilson and Ronin Woods.

Sullivan Middle School Runner Johnathan Iacobazzi and the teammates he's been training with all week are heading off with Coach Bates to scout the course for tomorrow's IESA State Cross Country Meet in Bloomington. Of course his 300+ closest friends wanted to wish him the best of luck! We are #OneTribe!

The SMS girls basketball game scheduled for tomorrow at Meridian has been postponed to 11/8/21, at Meridian, at 6 p.m.
Today’s practice is cancelled and the girls will practice tomorrow, after school, at SES, from 3:30-5:00 p.m.

SMS Cross Country competed at St. Joe this morning in the IESA sectional meet. Our girls team placed 8th and our boys team placed 5th. Teams needed to be in the top 3 to advance to state. We are proud of both teams on their season!

SMS Cross Country continues to have quite the season. The competes at the Shelbyville Invitational this past weekend, bringing home some hardware. Boys finished in 2nd place, only trailing behind Charleston by three points. The girls also finished in 2nd, coming in behind Shelbyville.
They, then, added another first place finish Monday at Clinton for both boys and girls.

SMS Cross Country had a successful night at the Bulldog Invitational in Bement! Both boys’ and girls’ teams took first place! Each team also had three top five medalists.
