Colt Wilson was honored this afternoon at the IESA Celebration of Excellence in Bloomington as one of only fifteen Scholar Attitude Award Winners for the state of Illinois. He was joined by his parents, Jake and Heather Wilson, and Sullivan Middle School Principal Nathan Ogle. Way to go, Colt! We are #OneTribe!

SMS Track had a great day on this beautiful Saturday at the ALAH Invitational! Both the 7th and 8th Grade Girls teams won the meet and both the 7th and 8th Grade Boys teams placed 3rd overall at the meet! Go Redskins! #OneTribe

🚨Two meet records have been broken at the ALAH JH Invitational today!🚨
-7th Grade Girls 4x100 relay team of Tenley Campbell, Elin Watkins, Wren Wall, and Addie Patterson with a time of 55.96 breaks a 19 year record at the ALAH Invite set by Chrisman back in 2004 with a time of 56.71!
-8th Grade Boys 4x200 relay team of Collin Shain, Colt Wilson, Aceon Fryman, and Nixon Dundee with a time of 1:42.59 breaks a record set back in 2017 by ALAH with a time of 1:43.07!

🚨New SMS School Record Alert!!🚨8th Grade 4x400 team of Emma McCain, Emma Drake, Lyla Wright, and Avery Renfro have broken a school record that has stood for 19 years with a time of 4:28.23! The previous record holders: A. Cohan, M. Dyer, B. Hart, and L. Taylor set the record back in 2005 with a time of 4:37.44!


Time Change (4/18): The JH Track Meet @ Shelbyville next Thursday, April 18th will now start at 4:30 PM

For those heading to ALAH HS tomorrow for the JH Track Invitational, the lot south of Wilson Field will be closed and spectators may need to park in the high school parking lots. Admission for tomorrow's meet are $5 for Adults and $3 for Students & Seniors.


Schedule Update (4/11): Due to the uncertainty with a few storm/rain cells potentially developing, gusts of wind, and being down a ring for field events the SMS Track meet this evening has been cancelled. SMS Track will now meet at the Armory and practice after school 3:30 - 4:15.

Smashed a 37 year old 8th grade SMS record with a time of 1:41.94 at the Tuscola Meet this evening! Previous record was held by A. Jesse, S. Yochim, B. Sprino, and B. Harris in 1987 with a time of 1:43.8! Congratulations! Go Redskins!

Karson Robinson and Madeline Anderson were selected to participate in an 8th Grade All-Star Volleyball Tournament. They played with other 8th grade girls from 23 different schools in Illinois. Their team finished in 3rd place! Both girls did a great job representing Sullivan!




Schedule Change: Due to the wind & dropping temperatures MS track meet in Bethany has been cancelled. No reschedule date. Team will practice in the Armory from 3:30 - 4:30.

In honor of Women's History Month, students in Mr. Webb's social studies classes are creating one-pagers about trailblazing women from around the world!
8th grade student Piper Conlin chose to do her one-pager on German pianist Clara Schumann. While practicing for her upcoming piano recital, Piper noticed the name "Schumann" on a piece of music she and her piano teacher had selected. As it turns out, Piper is playing a piece written by Clara's husband, Robert, as part of her recital! Piper was so excited to find out that she is playing a piece of music that Clara herself played! Good luck, Piper!

8th Grade volleyball is victorious in the first round of the Regional Tournament! Winners in 2 sets! They will move on to play ALAH on Tuesday night (3/5) around 7:10 (approximately 20 minutes after first match @ 6) at Tuscola East Prairie MS. Good luck ladies! Way to go! #OneTribe

Good luck to our 8th Grade Lady Redskins volleyball team who begins Regional tournament play this morning! They will play Tolono Unity 20 minutes after the second match of the day. (Roughly 11 AM) During tournament play schools will play ahead if they can, be sure to arrive earlier so you do not miss out on the action! Games are played at Tuscola East Prairie Middle School.
