Sullivan Schools are aware of today’s announcement from the Governor’s office and IDPH concerning the resumption of all sports in regions that are in Phase 4. Once we get further guidance from the IHSA and IESA with regards to sports seasons, we will proceed accordingly with regards to scheduling practices and contests along with which grade levels will be participating. Please be aware that many changes are likely to occur in the coming days and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we navigate these challenges.

A big THANK YOU goes out to those who have purchased the 2020-21 yearbook early. It shows us that you believe that we can make a great publication in the midst of all this chaos. Three of our early buyers were presented their 2019-20 yearbooks along with a box of candy canes to say “THANK YOU”.
If you haven’t purchased a book, they are still available at Jostens.com. Payment plans are available. Order now to be included for our next promotion!

The 2019-20 SHS Retrospect (yearbook) has been distributed to Advisory teachers. If you failed to purchase one and want one, there are extras available for $50 from Mrs Britton in Rm 2.
Yearbooks for 2020 graduates will be available starting Monday, January 4th from 8 am - 3 pm in the HS office. No need to call first, but masks are required to enter the building. To have a yearbook sent home with a sibling, send an email to Mrs Britton at brittons@sullivan.k12.Il.us.

Calling all Senior Parents!! My name is Brea Farris and I am an SHS Retrospect (yearbook) staff member. I am currently working on a project that includes pictures of your senior student from when they were in Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade! I have reached out to the senior class to send in a digital picture, but did not get a very positive response. If I do not get enough pictures then we have to modify or completely cancel the feature. Pictures can be sent to our yearbook email at shsyearbook@sullivan.k12.Il.us by January 31, 2021. If you have questions you can email us. THANK YOU!!

There will be lists posted around the school to check if a book was purchased. We plan for books to arrive Nov-Dec normally and hope that this is the case this year.

Reminder... SHS Retrospect has switched to being a late Fall/early Winter delivery book (normally). We still hope to have the yearbooks available Nov/Dec and will announce their arrival on social media.

Sullivan High School's Child and Daycare Services class is learning about early childhood and how to teach at an early childhood level. An important aspect of this is learning how to communicate effectively to parents. This year, things (obviously) look quite different, so I thought it might be fun to see if any members of the community who have young children would be interested in receiving this newsletter. The newsletter will contain a few local activities for younger children (including the cost, if any, location, and a brief description) and a fun activity that could be done at home. There will be 8 newsletters in total starting on October 19. If you would be interested in receiving this newsletter from our students, please let me know and I will add you to the list! I am so excited to see these students come together to create something great.
Additionally, the students will be videoing some of their lessons that they are creating. We will have these available as well if you are interested in receiving those.
Please email the hansena@sullivan.k12.il.us if you are interested in receiving these!
