On Thursday, 5/11, SHS will hold our Decision Day ceremony where Sullivan High School seniors will be showcased. The ceremony will begin at 8:50am in the high school gym.
We will learn all about our 2023 seniors such as what their plans are after high school, any scholarships they received, any clubs/sports they were involved in, a memory from high school, etc. Departmental awards will be announced, and extra-curricular cords and pins will be given at this time.
Parents and community members are welcome to attend; the ceremony will also be live-streamed. This is a chance for everyone to see all the wonderful opportunities Sullivan High School has to offer!

HS Track Senior Parents/Guardians - We will be recognizing Senior Track athletes & their parents/guardians on Tuesday next week at the Tri-County Track meet in between the 1600m and 200m races. We will meet at the track shed during the 300m hurdles!
Come out tonight for the spring concert at 7 to hear the wonderful music put on by our 5th thru high school students and purchase your dinner theater tickets for April 29th or 30th for a wonderful dinner and show put on by your Sullivan Singers and Singers, Jr. Then also purchase your Summer Reverse Raffle ticket to help support next years program and get a chance to win $10,000 and have a fun night. Heather Casteel and Marsha Kirby will be at the concert for you to be able to get your tickets for these great events! If you cannot make tonight, but would like to purchase tickets for either event contact Marsha Kirby at kirbym@sullivan.k12.il.us and she will get those to you!!

Mrs. Badman's AP Language & Composition class took a trip to Booth Library at EIU. Upon arrival, students were given a grand tour of the library; then they had time to explore on their own, finding books and using the databases for their final research paper.
Sophomore Katilyn Kirby participated in Youth Day over at the state capitol last week. The Cole's-Moultrie Co-Op sponsored students across the two counties to go and learn about state government.
‼️If you have not yet purchased your tickets for Dinner Theater, we will be at the Legion this Thursday (5-6:30) during Sullivan Singers Bingo! We will also have our Summer Reverse Raffle tickets available as well as Laundry Soap order forms! Dinner theater will take place on Saturday, April 29 at 2pm & 7pm and again on Sunday, April 30th at 2pm.

The National History a Scholar Society visited the Moultrie County Courthouse and County Board room and then did research at the library on the various high schools Sullivan has had. The students are putting together a history of the Sullivan High Schools in preparation for the building of the new high school.
As part of their leadership week the student council had 3 alumni members come and speak at their meeting. Beretta Black, Stephanie Helmuth, and Kyleigh Read spoke on their time and impact of student council on them. They are pictured with the current executive board and district and state officers from Sullivan.
As part of their Law unit, Mr Huber's Civics classes immersed themselves into a mock trial this week!
Serving in different roles from lawyers, judge, witness, and jury member, they learned the criminal trial process first-hand!
