The 2024 SOV Football Lift-a-Thon was a huge success tonight! As a team we lifted 35,125 pounds, which is over 5,540 pounds more than last year's Lift-a-Thon, and our returning players averaged over a 100 pound increase in their total weight lifted! The Tribe of Forlines and Smith won the Total Weight Lifted part of the competition with a total of 7,100 pounds, while the Tribe of Fryman and Donovan won the Pound for Pound part of the competition with an average pound for pound ratio of 3.57 times their body weight! Mason Booker won the individual Highest Total Weight award after lifting 290 in Bench, 435 in Squat, and 275 in Power Clean for a total of an even 1000 pounds! Mason also won the Best Pound for Pound Lifter award with a ratio of 5.27 times his body weight! Braden Lucas won the Largest Increase in Weight award with an increase of 235 pounds in total weight lifted since last year's competition! We are very proud of all of our guys, and of all the work we have put in over the last year to prepare for this fall! SOV Football finished up a great week of youth camp last night! We had over 115 campers and we hope everyone had fun! We are very proud of our high school guys for all their work with the next generation!
SOV skill guys go undefeated in the Robinson 7-on-7 Competition and the linemen finish in 4th place in the Linemen Challenge! Proud of our guys!
For anyone who wants to see a preview of the HS Softball team, they will be scrimmaging tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 am on the north field!
Reminder: SOV Youth Football Camp is next Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday! It is not too late to attend! Kids can bring the camp form and fee with them on the first day of camp. There are sessions for grades K-4 and 5-8. Please see the camp form pic for more details!
The Sullivan baseball program just finished their summer camp with a day camp for incoming 3rd & 4th graders and a 3-day camp for incoming 5th-8th graders. Shout out to SHS baseball helpers Cameron Crowe, Marshall Robison, Caden Saul, Brady Stollard, Kolton Wiley, and Tristan Wright.
Middle school tryouts for 6th-8th graders will be held on Monday, 8/5 @ 3:30.
