Students also presented a charcuterie demonstration and then assisted the younger girls with building their own charcuterie board!

The SHS Student Council wanted to celebrate their hardworking teachers with some treats before spring break. They picked the theme "Our Teachers are Red Hot" and all treats were red. The student council hopes everyone has a great break!

The Sullivan Girls & Boys Basketball teams had one of the winningest combined years in school history. This past week, they capped off the seasons with several nominations to the LPC All-Conference Teams! A huge accomplishment & recognition for our athletes!

Senior baseball players will be honoring one teacher/staff member in Sullivan School District for each month of our season (March, April, and May). Our seniors this year include Jake Stewart, Adan Mills, Konnor Randol, and Logan Hill, and here are the Sr. T.R.I.B.E. teachers for March!
Jake Stewart and Coach Black: "I chose Coach black because he wants the best for Sullivan athletics. He pushes all the athletes that are in athletic PE to get stronger and faster and more flexible. Coach Black is always there to talk about sports and life outside of it."
Adan Mills and Mrs. Stinebring: "I chose Mrs. Stinebring because she pushes me to do the best I can. She is always there for someone to talk to when needed. She always takes her job seriously because she loves what she does."
Konnor Randol and Coach T: "I chose Coach Taylor because she is always striving for her students and myself to become a better person with academics and a better athletic player. Coach Taylor always sets the bar high in every class and represents a good role model to her students and players."
Logan Hill and Ms. Parish: "I chose Ms. Parish because she is always pushing her students to do their best. She treats everyone with respect and cares about each student individually. Ms. Parish is always willing to teach with a positive attitude. Whenever you’re having a bad day, she will always make sure that you’re doing okay."

SHS Events going on this week!

Students in Mrs. Badman's 6th grade lit class spent several days on a code name project, using a code name generator to come up with a code name for Mr. Ogle. Then, they had to come up with reasons why Mr. Ogle should choose their group's code name and present that information to him. We had Incredible Rebel, The Great Hypnotist, Dynamic Striker, and Incredible Jackal. Mr. Ogle's chosen code name is....... INCREDIBLE JACKAL! We are loving City Spies, this year's OBOS book. We hope to see you at the community read night Monday, 3/4! And who knows… maybe you’ll see a real-life spy, Incredible Jackal himself!

Please RSVP to Mr. Huber huberc@sullivan.k12.il.us by next Friday at latest. Thank you!

On February 13, the National Honor Society held their annual Pork Chop Dinner. Our members had a great time serving our community. Thanks to those who donated their meals, we were able to donate 38 meals to The Haven in Mattoon. A huge thanks to member Hannah Righter and her mom for making those arrangements. And a huge thank you to our helpers in the kitchen who make nights like this possible. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and who continue to support our students! We look forward to serving you again next year!
