During this week at the Sullivan Spanish Academy, 4th & 5th grade students are learning the alphabet in Spanish.
The high school student council joined members of the Eastern District for a summer social at the Effingham Armory. Three freshman students participated and were able to meet students from other schools and learn about leadership styles.

Mrs. Kirby’s Early US History class finished up their unit on the Civil War and Reconstruction by completing projects. Some students choose to make Hard Tack, a Civil War meal made from flour, water and salt. The classes enjoyed trying the different versions made.

Entrepreneurship students toured local businesses this past week to connect and learn how their lessons apply in the real world. Students met with representatives from AgriFab, The Traditional Bakery, and Catherine's/5 West.
This Friday at Building 1225 - the Sullivan Jazz Bands will perform at 7pm for their final jazz night concert. Free entry!
The Sullivan High School Student Council participated in the annual IASC State Conference in Lombard. The students discussed ideas to help improve our council, worked with other schools and had some fun working on team work at an escape room and then enjoyed Giordanos pizza!!

Some kids play video games after school and some kids melt aluminum in a forge to cast in to awesome mustaches.
