Boys Basketball, Cheer, and Dance Banquet Change:

Due to a conference conflict for our coaches, we have been forced to reschedule the Banquet to March 12th - still 6:00 pm at Building 1225.

All RSVP's will be kept as is, so you do NOT need to RSVP again. If the date change causes any changes to the RSVP number, please contact Mr. Huber (huberc@sullivan.k12.il.us) as soon as possible.

Claire Kursell recently participated in the Central Illinois High School Art Exhibition at Millikin University. She received an honorable mention for her piece, “Bride of Frankenstein”. Congratulations Claire!

Mark your calendars for March 10th at 6 PM as the Sullivan Band Program presents its Mid-Winter Concert! The concert will showcase the work and talents of our 6th Grade Beginning Band, 7th & 8th Grade Band, High School Band, and Jazz Band.

The Concert will be performed in the Middle School Gymnasium and is free to the public.

Come out and support our amazing and talented band students!

Congratulations to the Sullivan 6th Grade Volleyball Team and Coach Ray for bringing home the championship at the ALAH 5/6 Grade Tournament! The girls battled all afternoon, earning wins over Monticello, Villa Grove, and Arthur to advance to the championship match against Maroa-Forsyth. They finished strong, winning in two sets: 25–15, 25–23. Sullivan 5th Grade Volleyball and Coach Bickel also had a great showing, finishing second in their pool to Maroa-Forsyth, who went on to win the tournament. The girls showed strong serving, scrappy defense, and great teamwork throughout the morning. The future is bright for Sullivan Volleyball, and we are incredibly proud of these athletes and the way they competed and represented our program. ❤️🖤🏐🏐🔥

Ms. Taylor’s SHS Health classes are progressing through their nutrition unit by engaging in a variety of practical activities. Students conducted research on fast food restaurants to identify healthier versus less healthy options and to determine which items offer the most nutritional value. Additionally, students have been learning how to read food labels to better inform their future food choices and develop an awareness of nutritional content. To further their goal of becoming conscious consumers, students participated in a hands on activity, Re-think Your Drink, where they measured the sugar content in several popular beverages.

The Student Council is actively planning their spring blood drive for April 1st from 9:30-2:30 at the Sullivan American Legion. If you are interested in donating please contact Mrs. Kirby at kirbym@sullivan.k12.il.us or at ext 1280. We have 32 spots to fill!!

NHS would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported our annual Pork Chop Dinner fundraiser. We truly appreciate you and hope you enjoyed a delicious meal!

SHS FCCLA hosted our Chapter Creed contest in coordination with our February Chapter meeting on Tuesday afternoon. Contestants were asked to recite the FCCLA Creed, along with answering questions as to what the Creed means to them and why the home is the focal point of our organization. Congratulations to David on winning tonight's contest!

The Lady Redskins' season comes to an end tonight in regionals, 46-43 against Robinson. Congrats to Coach McCain and the team on another incredibly successful season!
