Today's Athletic Events:
SOV JV Football competes against Shelbyville High School at 6:00. The game will be played in Bethany at Okaw Valley High School. The bus will depart from Sullivan at 4:15.
SHS Girls Golf competes against Charleston High School and Pana High School at Oak Terrace Golf Course in Pana at 4:15. Participating team members need to be dismissed from class at 2:30 for a 2:45 bus.
SHS Volleyball competes at Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond High School beginning at 6:00.
Results From This Past Weekend:
From SOV Football: The SOV varsity football team opened up Central Illinois Conference play this past Friday by hosting Shelbyville. The team was defeated by a score of 58-7. The team now stands at 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference play. They will resume action this Friday at Warrensburg-Latham.
From SHS Cross Country: The Sullivan High School cross country team competed in the Shelbyville Invitational this past Saturday. Logan Pedigo was the top finisher from Sullivan in the boys race as he finished in 10th place. The boys team finished 6th overall in the meet itself. On the girls side, Katherine Kite was the top finished from Sullivan by placing in 8th overall.
From SMS Baseball: The SMS baseball team concluded their regular season this past weekend by playing Cumberland Middle School. The team ended the regular season on a winning note by a score of 21-1, finishing the regular season at 9 wins and 7 losses. They will open up regional play tomorrow at Lane Field against Beecher City Junior High School beginning at 4:30.
