Today's Athletic Events Scheduled:

SOV Varsity football travels to Clinton High School for a CIC contest beginning at 7:00.

Results From Yesterday:

From SHS Volleyball:  Sullivan hosted St. Teresa  night and was defeated in two sets; 25-10, 25-16.  Jessica Voyles had a great night at the net with 3 blocks, and several hits. Zoe Ray helped in the back court with digs and service receive.  The JV team was also defeated by St. Teresa in two sets; 25-12, 25-10. Jerra Goad, Zoe Walton, and Mallory Nichols all earned blocks for their team. Goad earned two aces during service play as well.  The Lady Redskins will host Neoga in their next contest >span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1183568873" tabindex="0">on Monday night.

From SOV Freshmen Football:  The SOV football program picked up their second win of the season this week as the freshmen-sophomore team defeated Clinton by a score of 12-6 in overtime in a game that was played at Okaw Valley High School in Bethany.  The freshmen/sophomore team will resume their season next Thursday, hosting Arcola at 6:00 at Victory Field.

From SHS Cross Country:  The Sullivan High School cross country team competed yesterday afternoon at the Robinson High School Invitational.  The boys team 15th with a score of 298 and Isaiah Plank (17:18.15), Logan Pedigo (17:18.17), Josh Stutzman (19:16.43), Spencer Johnson (19:27.61), Colin Chappel (20:20.61), and Caleb Villalobos (21:40.76) all hit personal best times.  The team will resume competition tomorrow at the Effingham St. Anthony Eastern Crossroads Meet.

From SMS Basketball:  The 8th grade Lady Redskins defeated Argenta-Oreana last night 31-14.  Lilly Null had 9 points, Morgan Wallace and Skyla Palmer both ended with 6 points, Kinley Hill had 4 points and Katie Honchell, Sammy Montague, and Caprice Smith all added 2.  The girls are 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in conference!  The 7th grade team gave a great effort and they are improving every game as they fell to Argenta-Oreana 32-18. Chloe Smith led with 8 points, Mia Karley had 6, and Gabby Penberthy had 4.

Saturday September 30th Events:

SHS Cross Country competes in the Eastern Crossroads Meet hosted by Effingham St. Anthony High School at Midamerica Motorworks at 9:00 AM.

SHS Marching Band competes at the Eastern Illinois University Marching Band competition at 11:45 AM.
