Results From Last Night:

From SHS Girls Basketball and Coach McCain:  The Lady Redskins defeated Mt. Zion last night by a score of 36-35.  Lizzie Green sunk two huge free throws with 8 seconds left to put the team up by 1 point.  We were then able to play great defense the remainder of the game to prevent Mt. Zion from scoring.  Lizzie Green led all scorers with 8 points and also led in rebounding and steals.  Emily White also played a great game in scoring 5 points.  This was especially nice for Coach Tucker and I, as we picked up our 100th win together!  The JV team also defeated Mt. Zion last night 33-29.  Avery Still led in scoring with 10 points and Taylor Orris led with 10 rebounds while Emily White had 5 steals.  We would like to give a huge shout out to Mr. Schaefers and the Pep Band for performing tonight as well as the student section because they both brought a lot of energy to our games.  A special thank you to the student section for making a victory tunnel for our players after the game.  What a great showing of REDSKIN PRIDE!

From SMS Girls Basketball:  The 8th Grade Lady Redskins beat Neoga in overtime last night by a score of 40-34.  Lilly Null ended with 23 points, Skyla Palmer, Morgan Wallace and Caprice Smith both had 4 points each, Morgan Moll ended with 3 points and Kinley Hill hit a bucket in overtime!  The 7th Grade Lady Redskins lost to Neoga by a score of 27-16. We were led in scoring by Chloe Smith who had 10 points, Izzy Hay, Gabby Penberthy, and Hadarah Scott all had 2 points each.

From SMS Boys Basketball: The 8th grade boys lost last night to Cerro Gordo 37-26. Haiden Dringenberg, JJ Standerfer, Addison Owens had 2 points each; Jaydon Troxell and Ryan Villalobos had 3 points; Devon Winings had 4 points and Zach Dalbey and Ben Bushue had 5 points apiece. We are 2-3 on the season. The 7th grade boys lost 37-27. The team led after three quarters, but could not close out the win.
