Today's Athletic Events Scheduled:

SHS Girls Golf competes in IHSA Regional competition at Iron horse Golf Club in Tuscola at 9:00 AM.

Results From Yesterday:

From SMS Girls Basketball:  The SMS girls basketball team competed last night against Mattoon Middle School in the SES gym.  The 7th grade team was defeated by a score of 20-4.  Chloe Smith and Izzy Hay scored two points each for the Lady Redskins.  The 8th grade team was also defeated last night by Mattoon 34-9.  Lilly Null and Kinley Hill ended with 3 points, Morgan Moll added 2 points, and Caprice Smith had one point.

From SHS Cross Country:  The SHS cross country team hosted Arthur-Lovington-Atwood Hammond, Bement, Tuscola, Tri-County, and Villa Grove last night in a meet at Tabor Park.  The Sullivan boys team finished in 2nd place with 40 points behind Tuscola's 30 points.  Seniors Logan Pedigo and Isaiah Plank both finished in 2nd and 3rd place respectively with a time of 18:23 to pace the Redskins.  On the girls side, Tuscola, was the only team with a combined team score last night finishing with 34 points.  However, Katherine Kite of Sullivan finished in 1st place individually with a time of 22:16.  Senior Laine Cameron finished 3rd in the girls division with a time of 22:31.

From SHS Boys Golf:  The SHS Boys Golf team competed at the University of Illinois Orange Course in IHSA Regional competition yesterday hosted by Monticello High School.  The team of Caden Ellis (81), Leyton Ellis (85), Aiden Short (87), Leighton Burcham (91), Drew Rogers, and Tim Lawyer finished in first place shooting a combined team score of 344.  The team will compete next in the IHSA Sectional round on Monday at the Harrison Park Golf Course in Danville starting at 9:00 AM.  Congratulations to the Boys Golf Team!
